So, the other day was my birthday…
September 10, 2007
and I turned 34. Boo yah. I’ve been a bit down since then, lost my momentum somehow.
Things with the band have been going well. Now that I’ve got a good level of restriction I’m losing about 1 – 1.5kg a week. But I’m just not feeling it at the moment.
I had been going so well with the gym, 3 -4 visits a week, a low impact class every 2 weeks or so, a personal training session, visible evidence of increased fitness and tone – the natural exercise high turned up to MAX. Then poof! it’s all gone. I just feel flat and washed out. I looked at myself in the mirror and a little voice said – “who do you think you’re kidding, you’re still fat, you’ve got years to go”. Reality bites.
Happy belated bday.
I haven’t been going to the gyum in ages and have been demotivated in months to be honest, jsut going twice a week if that and most of my workouts consisting of reading a magazine on the recumbent bike and going through the weights machine much faster than normal.
its expected and normal.
ABNORMAL is people like courtney love who got lap band surgery and wasn’t anywhere near obese. all she drinks is those diet shakes. don’t look at hollywood celebrities to any kind of inspiration or benchmark as your “failure”.
the fact is you’re changing your life and if you want those changes to be permanent they need to be slowly intergrated into your life.
good luck and don’t beat yourself up!
